“They have grown up before our eyes” – Eire Og intermediate manager after last weekends final victory

from eire og twitter

Eire Og won the Talbot Hotel Carlow intermediate football final for the first time since 2007 last weekend at Netwatch Cullen park on a Scoreline of 3-11 0-7 over Naomh Eoin with the Goals coming from Ben Crotty & Adam Mccarron.

We now know that their will be no promotion at the intermediate level in Carlow this year due to Eire Og’s senior team.

Kevin O’Gradys men were always in control of the game and after the victory got up with scoreline to heap praise upon his players.

“It was a great performance from the lads, they really dug in. We have improved everyday we have gone out. The young lads have grown up before our eyes and they produced on the night. I could not be happier for them.

We are working all year, they have that ability to work the ball through the hands, quick hands, quick brains, quick feet is a mantra we have been using

We scored a goal in every championship match and right through the league, it is something we work on”

Eire Og take on Mount Leinster Rangers this Sunday, while Bagnelstown Gaels go up against Tinryland, with both games live on KCLR. On Saturday you will be able to hear from managers of the sides before the crunch clashes from 2-4.
