Galway’s Sarah Dervan says there’s always great games between Kilkenny and Galway and last years final was very close.
For the second year running the sides will battle it out to see who is crowned the Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Senior champions in what will be a unique winter All-Ireland Final.
If Galway win, Sarah Dervan becomes the first captain to lift successive All-Ireland titles since 1966.
She says Kilkenny always stay going till the end.
“They never really go away until they’re nearly on the bus on the way home, you can never really think of anything else bar the next ball and it’s always nip and tuck with Kilkenny” said Sarah.
“They beat us in the championship a good few times and we we were lucky enough to be on the right side of it in the All Ireland last year, none of that matters, as soon as the ball is thrown in, it’s a new game, it’s a new year and it’s all to play for, that’s the most important thing” she said.
