Bagenalstown Gaels’ Captain Craig Doyle Speaks
Ahead of the match, KCLR Scorelines’ Oisin Langan caught up with Craig Doyle, the captain of Bagenalstown Gaels, at the launch of the Carlow GAA Club Championship. Doyle shared his thoughts on the team’s journey and the significance of tonight’s game:
“This is what we’ve been training for in the last couple of months. This is what keeps you coming back I suppose every year and it’s kind of winding into it. When it starts to get serious, you start to enjoy it a bit more at this stage of the year. The hard slog is done, the tough runs are out of the way and the ground is getting hard, the ball is bouncing and the sun is shining so this is what you do it for. The likes of tonight then just make it all a bit more special.”
