Leading National Hunt Jockey Ruby Walsh says that Thyestes Chase day maintaining it’s tradition as a midweek meeting has made it the centre of attention.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of next weeks event in Gowran Park, Ruby says that Thyestes day is a huge event beyond the local area….

“I was lucky enough to ride the winner of it on Djakadam a few years ago, but the Thyestes is a huge part of Racing tradition and it’s a huge social day out in the Kilkenny, Carlow, South Leinster area, it’s maintained it’s status as a midweek meeting so it’s the centre of attention so it’s a great day out”
