The Irish Open which is scheduled to be held in Kilkenny’s Mount Juliet in May could be up in the air as the Coronavirus grips the globe and causes sporting events to be cancelled and postponed.

The Irish leg of the European tour was to get underway from May 28th at the local course and run until the 31st.

The European Tour has now decided to suspend ticket and hospitality sales for all its 2020 tournaments.

They’ve already cancelled its customary pre-Irish Open tournament media day, which was scheduled for Mount Juliet next week, March 24th.
