After a topsy turby year for the racing industry as a whole due to the pandemic, Gowran Park have proudly announced their final race meeting of a season like no other.
A seven race card along with live music, food and a bar sounds like a great day out, and to make it even better it starts at 11.30am on a Saturday.
The exact date is Saturday the 20th but tickets have gone on sale today , with fans urged to grab their tickets as soon as possible so they can avoid any disappointment.
Gowran Park Race manager Eddie Scally was speaking to Scoreline and explained why this event in particular could shape 2022’s race calendar;
“Our 2021 season comes to a close with a seven race national hunt card. It is one of thee best national hunt meeting of the year. It really throws up alot of pointers for the big festival meetings that will happen at 2022.
Last year we were treated to a wonderful renewal of the maiden hurdle between Bob Ollinger and Furney Hollow, both horses left Gowran Park with huge reputations. Bob Ollinger went on to win at Cheltenham and many other big races after that.
I would suggest people get their tickets as early as possible for what will be another cracking meeting at Gowran Park”
