Tinryland and Palatine will contest this year’s Under 21 A football championship after successfully coming through their respective semi-finals yesterday.
There was just a single point in it at the end for Tinryland, overcoming Éire Óg 2-09 to 0-14 while at the Netwatch Carlow GAA Training Centre in Fenagh, Palatine edged St. Andrew’s by 2 points on a 0-14 to 1-09 scoreline to set up this year’s U21 A final.
In junior football, Rathvilly’s goals proved the difference against Leighlinbridge, running out five point winners 3-07 to 1-08 in yesterday’s A championship replay while in the B championship there was extra time played in the day’s other replay.
O’Hanrahan’s and Éire Óg had to go the extra distance before Ó’Hanrahans added three points on the board to finish up 2-17 to 3-11 winners.
