Tinryland 2-9 Ballon 1-10
Tinryland two points down at half time turned on the style in the second half to defeat Ballon in a lively junior football championship ‘C’ final at Netwatch Cullen Park yesterday evening.
Ballon made all the early running and were five points clear before a Tinryland goal from David O’Shea brought the blue and white men back in to the game at half time.
Tinryland proved the fittest team in the last period and took some good scores as the Ballon men ran out of steam and Cathal Whelan’s penalty ensured the silver cup was destined for the Tinryland club house.
Eire Og 3-15 Fenagh 1-9
Eire Og minor footballers made sure of a place in the Minor A Final with a 3-15 to 1-9 win over Fenagh yesterday evening.
Evenly contested for the opening twenty five minutes, Jordan Morrissey’s goal eased Eire Og in to a five point lead at the break 1-8 to 0-6. Kelvin Corcoran found the net entering the last quarter and Cian Dowling converted a penalty for Eire Og’s third goal. Michael Murphy was on target for Fenagh scoring.

Old Leighlin v Naomh Eoin; Asca v O’Hanrahans.
