Kilkenny Senior Camogie Manager Anne Downey says that having a tough game to start off their Championship campaign away to Galway was perfect to help with their Championship prospects.
Speaking to KCLR as they continue preparations ahead of their All-Ireland Semi-Final clash, Anne says that having a big panel was a major help in playing games week after week.
She said “Every other year with all due respect to the other teams, we probably had an easy first round and you eased your way into the Championship”.
“This year it’s quite different but again it’s all about having a big panel because if your out two or three weekends in a row and you get an injury and you haven’t got back up, your in trouble, but it works quite well for us, we are happy with it”.
