Joseph O’Brien says that the Juddmonte International in York next week looks the more likely target for Labtrobe.
Speaking at Champions Launch earlier in the week, Joseph says that the Champions Stakes in Leopardstown will be a possibility if York goes well.
“York is the logical next step. He is entered in the Juddmonte and the Voltigeur.
“We have at the moment I would say a slight preference for the Juddmonte, however that could change, but I think we will go to York for one of the two races and I suppose we will firm our plans for the 2nd half of the season afterwards.
“Obviously, the 10 furlongs in Leopardstown is good as well, great track, the ground is usually very nice there, everything would be perfect assuming we get on well in York, there is no reason why we couldn’t go there afterwards, but obviously we will have to speak to the owners and make a decision there,” he said.
