Tullow Rugby Club Chairman Luke Hade says that their defence was magnificent in the 2nd half of their Towns Cup Semi Final win over Wicklow.
The club have enjoyed a lot of success lately and speaking to KCLR, Luke says that a lot of young players in the club are driving things on with Charlie Ward having represented Ireland recently.
“Its unbelievable. I didn’t think we had enough done in the first half after we played with the wind. The defence was unbelievable in the game, especially in the second half to keep Wicklow out.
“Charlie (Ward) was away playing with Ireland under 18’s and we got him back just in time for the game and he came on and made a great difference.
“The young lads on the team are putting it up to the Senior lads to get there place on the team and the club is really alive at the moment and couldn’t be better,” he said.
