Carlow Senior Football manager Turlough O’Brien says they should be at full strength ahead of their League opener against Sligo at the end of the month.
Speaking to KCLR after completing their O’Byrne Cup campaign, Turlough says pre-season training has gone well to date….
“Players are getting used to the new rules, and I suppose the biggest impact I am seeing with the new rules there is kind of the indecision on the ball that players are experiencing because they are not sure whether to hand pass it or kick it”
“It’s been a little bit disjointed up to now, but we have been working hard and we have had three good games in the O’Byrne Cup”
“We were beaten by Westmeath and Kildare, but they were two very competitive games and we had a good win over Offaly there at the weekend so preparations have been good enough and most of our players are coming back now, so we should be at full strength come the first game against Sligo on the 27th of January”
