Bryan Byrne and Tom Daly have been named to start for the Leinster A side to face rivals Munster on Wednesday evening in Donnybrook.

The Leinster ‘A’ side begin a series of three Interprovincial friendly matches on the night with 25 players named in the match day squad.

The ‘A’ team will visit Ballynahinch RFC to face Ulster Ravens on 22nd October. Then, nine days out from their opening British & Irish Cup match away to Rotherham Titans, the ‘A’ team will face Connacht Eagles in Donnybrook Stadium.

Nick McCarthy will captain the ‘A’ team in Wednesday’s game from scrum-half, with Steve Crosbie completing the half-back pairing.

Mick McGrath, who has scored six tries in four games for Clontarf in the AIL, and Adam Byrne are named on the wings. Billy Dardis will line out at full-back, completing the back three.

There is a ‘Tarf/Lansdowne pairing in midfield, with Colm O’Shea at outside centre and Carlow man Tom Daly selected at inside centre.

Jeremy Loughman, Royce Burke Flynn and Carlow man Bryan Byrne start in the front row. Both Burke-Flynn and Byrne have made two appearances in the Guinness PRO12 this season.

Tom Denton will make a return to action for the first time since the opening day defeat to Edinburgh in the Guinness PRO12. He is selected in the second row alongside Tadhg Beirne.

David Aspil, who started for the Leinster U20s in all three of their Interpro Series games last month, will start at openside flanker. Josh Murphy and Tony Ryan complete the back row.
