There should be a great buzz in Urlingford this Friday night for boxing fans as Urlingford Boxing Club host their first tournament at their new premises. The club train, box and call home to their space at the back of the Urlingford Arms Hotel in Urlingford, north Kilkenny.

Organisers are expecting around 20 bouts to take place on the night, one of which may see the club’s first Leinster champion Jordan Leahy in action. Jordan took the club’s first championship honours at Youth 2.

The tournament itself gets underway at 7pm, with food served and a DJ on the night as well to keep the party going. If you’re thinking on heading along, tickets are available from the club with more information via Urlingford Boxing Club on Facebook.

First bout underway around 7.30pm.
