Kevin Regan caught up with Palatine’s Chris Parle at the recent launch of this summer’s Carlow senior football championship. The reigning champions get their campaign underway this weekend and while they won’t take anything for granted, they’re still out to lay down a marker.
We’re just hoping for a good first round now, training has been going well the last couple of weeks. It’s been tough, we’ve had a couple of challenge games, just hoping to keep our heads down, perform well.
We lost our first game last year but after that we rallied, so, it’s not the end of the world if we don’t get off to a great start but we want to start strong. As champions we want to lay down a marker.
Palatine take on O’Hanrahan’s on Sunday evening at 7.30pm at Netwatch Cullen Park. We’ll have reaction to Sunday night’s football action on air and online from Monday morning.
