Kilkenny’s opponents for the All-Ireland Senior Hurling semi-final were confirmed over the weekend.
After their victory over Wexford, Clare will face the Cats on Saturday, July 6th, at 3 PM in Croke Park.
Clare manager Brian Lohan acknowledged that his team has faced significant challenges this season. “We have a great bunch,” Lohan said. “We’re carrying a panel of forty players, and they’re a very competitive and ambitious bunch. They want to do well, and for one reason or another, we’ve done a lot of things well this year, but we haven’t jumped the biggest fences. That’s what we have to get to. We have a big fence coming against us now, and we have to take that on and see if we can deal with it.”
Despite having defeated Kilkenny twice already this year, Clare has struggled in recent semi-finals against the Cats, losing the last two encounters. As both teams prepare for this critical match, fans are eagerly anticipating a high-stakes showdown at Croke Park.
The upcoming semi-final promises to be a thrilling contest as Clare aims to overcome past obstacles and Kilkenny looks to continue their semi-final winning streak.
