St. Mullins Senior Hurler Jack Kavanagh says they were never going to except a walkover from Ballinkillen.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of tomorrow’s (Saturday) re-scheduled Senior Semi-Final clash, Jack says that taking a walkover would have been the wrong thing to do.
He said “Coming up to two weeks ago, preparation was good, we were coming into that game in good nick and we were really looking forward to it two weeks ago, and we didn’t really know what was going on then for the first week of the last two weeks and then it kind of came to life last weekend then that the game was going to be played this weekend and look, we were delighted to play the game”.
“It was a big mess up, we won’t go into it but we were never going to take a walkover, that’s just not the right thing to do but four Senior clubs and this is going along, we just want to play the game and may the best team to win”.
