Wexford Senior Hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald says that they ran out of gas against Kilkenny on Saturday.
Speaking to KCLR after Saturday night’s defeat against Kilkenny, Davy says playing 4 weeks in succession clearly counted against them.
“I think we are up there with anyone. I think it’s dangerous meeting either Carlow or Westmeath.
“If we get a break we will compete, we will give anyone a go for it.
“Before any ball was pucked, I said that like a blind man would see today that we ran out of gas like, that’s what happened.
“You would admire Kilkenny, and fair play to them, as I said, we have a no problem with that, I love their style of hurling, I love how they go at things, they will give you 110%, and I will always admire that,” he said.
