Kilkenny’s minor All-Ireland championship has come to a halt at the semi-final stages.
They were beaten in Edenderry on Sunday by a strong Galway side who will now face Cork in the final.
Kilkenny is the defending champions, they’ve given a solid account of themselves so far this year but it wasn’t to be.
We spoke to manager Mike Wall after the game:
“I suppose we should have been a few more points up at halftime, but look, what can you say, we make no excuses,” said Mike.
“Galway were very hungry, very physical very good to be honest and on the day we have to bow our head and say the better team won”.
“If we sent in the amount of ball with than quality of the ball in the first half that we did in the second half, we might have made more hay out of it, what can you say”.
We’ll hear more from Mike on today’s Camán Caint camogie podcast.
It wasn’t to be our day today, we were beaten by the better team. Our girls can be very proud of their achievements so far, that’s sport you have good days and bad and today was a bad day. We wish @GalwayCamogie96 the very best of luck in the All-Ireland Final pic.twitter.com/RLPkF5Qt5c
