Former Carlow Senior Footballer Willie Quinlan says that the underage progression within the County offers hope for the Senior Team going forward.
Speaking at the end of Saturday’s Leinster Championship defeat to Meath, Willie says it’s essential that the youth are developed going forward.
“It’s not the end of the world and I was at a game, an Under-15s Carlow against Wicklow”, said Quinlan on Saturday.
“Two fantastic games and they won both of them so they are doing great work underage.”
“17s are going really really well, that’s what we need, we need the youth, develop the youth in Carlow, bring them on.”
“They are able to develop and play at a Senior level and maybe in ten years time, we will be looking at these guys playing senior football.”
