Kilkenny minor manager Richie Mulrooney says he finds a huge difference between U17 and U18 grades in hurling.
He’s busy getting his side ready to face Galway tomorrow (Friday) in the All Ireland Minor hurling semi-final in Semple Stadium.
Speaking about the difference in grades, he says the younger boys can find it harder to cope with the pressures of the game.
“I thought that the 2020 group who didn’t get to play until obviously 2021, there was a massive difference in the physique of that team and the mentality of that team and the way that team was able to cope with everything that was thrown at them by Offaly and by Galway in that final simply because of the extra couple of years maturity,” said Richie.
We have full live commentary of that game tomorrow (Friday) with thanks to RMC construction.
