The 2022 Carlow senior camogie championships are up and running.
Not only that, but with the inter-county season done and dusted (and the O’Duffy Cup making its way back to Kilkenny last night) the Carlow championships got off to a cracker with three tightly contested games.
With six teams involved, Mount Leinster Rangers pushed St. Mullins all the way and came away with a 2-10 to 2-08 win at home.
Ballinkillen edged Muinebheag by two points as well, that one wrapping up 1-10 to 1-08.
Defending county champions Myshall were faced with a dogged Naomh Bríd in the other game of the night, that one winding up 2-07 apiece.
Round two takes place across Saturday/Sunday August 14/15.
