Ballyhale Shamrocks Senior Hurling Manager Henry Shefflin says that Michael Fennelly is a credit to himself the way he keeps himself in shape.
Speaking to KCLR after Sunday’s All-Ireland Final victory over Borrisoleigh, Henry says that Michael felt he had a point to prove after their Semi-Final win over Slaughtneil.
He said “The word has been used before, he is a warrior, he is a warrior and he just keeps in there, that long 37 inch hurl is swinging over someone’s shoulder to get a flick or get a touch in and just the physical strength of the man and the way he looks after himself so and the way he has managed himself obviously with double jobbing with the Offaly and dealing with Johnny Kelly as well”.
“But the last couple of weeks you noticed the focus, and he knew himself the second half performance against Slaughtneil was a little bit off and he wanted to put it right and I thought he was a rock in the centre”.
