Carlow U20 manager Pado Flynn says the GAA is meeting this week to try and formulate a roadmap for the return of both county and club GAA this year.
The GAA is working with NPHET for guidance on what can and can’t be done once the season resumes and to do up the fixtures for the various competitions.
GAA senior inter-county teams can return to collective training from the 19th of April after approval from the Government a few weeks back.
Speaking to scoreline.ie, Pado outlines what he sees happening and when:
“Largely you’re looking at National League in or around the 15th or 16th of May,” said Pado.
“I would imagine the all Ireland football and hurling finals will be at some stage in the middle of August, and you’re probably looking at the Joe McDonagh Cup and the Tailteann Cup at some stage at the end of July which would feed into probably club championship games starting off at the end of August or middle of August depending on where counties finish in the championship”.
“You’re probably looking at November for your interprovincial club championships” he added.
