Carlow U20 hurling manager Pado Flynn says his main aim is getting his players up to senior standard and onto the team every year.
It was announced last week that he’ll be looking after the side for two more years.
He says the numbers making the step up to senior grade is getting bigger all the time.
“There was only two guys, John Nolan and Ciaran Whelan in with the Senior Set up (in 2019), last year we had around ten to eleven guys ended up being involved in the senior set up between the national league and the Joe McDonagh cup campaign” said Flynn.
“Thats the aspiration, winning trophies at U20 level is nice and all that but at the end of the day it’s hurlers for the Carlow senior team and senior and intermediate clubs in Carlow that we’re really producing”
