Bagenalstown Gaels got the better of St Mullins in the Carlow senior hurling championship last night.
That’s two wins out of two and sets them up nicely for the run into the semi-finals.
20 points to 1-11 was how it finished up.
Manager Gavin Nolan told scoreline that they can’t get too carried away with themselves yet…
“It’s a long season ahead yet, we’re not going to lose the run of ourselves or anything or get carried away,” said Gavin.
“We know there’s massives tests ahead and it’s about keeping these lands injury-free, making sure the body and mind is ok and just keeping them ticking over for the couple of matches that’s ahead”.
“We’re delighted to have the two wins and it’s great for the club of Bagenalstown, they love hurling down there and it’s great to kind of put a smile on their faces and come over here and see Bagenalstown competing and doing well at senior level” he added.
Meanwhile, Mount Leinster Rangers defeated Naomh Eoin 2-14 to 16 points.
