The Carlow Under 20B football final between Palatine and Naomh Eoin has been postponed again.
The game was due to be played this coming Saturday, however a new revised date has yet to be announced.
The U20 A final got to go-ahead last week, with Eire OG coming out on top in a comprehensive defeat of Clonmore.
Speaking to Scoreline the Eire Og U20 manager Richie Mahon has indicated he will not be looking to fill the managerial position of the club’s senior side, which was left vacated by Joe Murphy last month.
“I am hoping to get back playing football next year, we will play it by ear. I am in the middle of my rehab so we will wait and see”
Mahon was quick to point to the efforts of his background team of Sean Gannon and Cormac Mullins in achieving the U20 title, and left it open ended as to weather they may all aim for senior coaching roles in the future.
“It is for people far more experienced and knowledgable than I. No crystal ball here but in the future, it would be an honour to get that kind of gig. Hopefully, though we might be there someday, you never know.”
