James Stephens are on the move again.
The Kilkenny and Leinster intermediate camogie champions will take on Castlegar of Galway on Saturday for a place in this year’s AIB Intermediate Club All-Ireland final. Originally scheduled for midday in St. Brendan’s Park, Birr, the game was brought forward on Monday to 11.30am at the same venue, the game forming one part of a doubleheader with the senior clash between Sarsfields and St. Vincent’s.
As of Monday night, the Village are on a detour to Limerick with Maguire’s Pitch at the University of Limerick south campus now set to play host to Saturday’s game as a standalone fixture.
Throw-in has also been moved out to 1pm but you’ll still be able to catch the game in full live on Scoreline.ie and KCLR with thanks to Kilkenny Contract Furniture.
The Village are enjoying quite the patch of form this season, going unbeaten across the league and championship in Kilkenny, sealing this year’s intermediate crown at the expense of Rower Inistioge in October before moving onto their first stint in the Leinster championship. Seeing off Raharney in the quarter-finals, John Scott’s side dug deep in their semi-final at the Kells Road eliminating a strong St. Brigid’s side before putting Myshall to the sword to claim a first-ever Leinster title.
