Emma Gaffney who was player of the match in the county final and named to the Caman Caint team of the year, was a recent guest on the Caman Caint podcast, but she has been a recent enough edition to the Village.
Emma is from Galway and a former intercounty minor for the Tribeswomen. She said her clubmates have been nothing but welcoming since she joined this year, check out the full interview below :

In what may spell bad news for Carlow’s Ed Byrne, Leinster will be boosted by the availability of Cian Healy for Saturday’s Champions Cup clash with Racing
The prop has been cleared to play after the red card he received against Ulster last weekend was overturned.
Healy was dismissed for a challenge on Tom Stewart.

Former Thomastown player Colm Whelan has been officially unveiled by the FAI Cup champions Derry City after he signed on a two-year contract.
The 22-year-old netted 44 times in 66 games with UCD, helping them to a promotion in the process.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino says over 2-billion people have watched the World Cup in Qatar to date.
Reflecting on the tournament so far, Infantino described the group stages as the ‘best ever’.
Raheem Sterling is set to return to the England squad, but probably not in time to feature in Saturday’s World Cup quarter final against France in Qatar.

Volleyball
Big congrats to the Kilkenny City Vocational School Senior Girls Volleyball team secured their place in the All Ireland Finals after dramatic matches against Presentation, Kilkenny, and Mount St Michael, Claremorris.
They are off to Dublin on the 14th for the finals

There’s a seven-race card at Clonmel this afternoon, which is subject to an 8 am inspection due to the cold snap.
If the meeting does proceed, it will get underway at 12.05.
Punchestown and Cork will monitor the weather situation ahead of their big race days on Sunday.
