Scoreline has always had a keen on on the journey of the Professional Fighter League.
After all The Marble Cities’ own Myles Price, fighting out of Team Ryano Kilkenny, was signed to a four-fight deal. Price, who recently received his Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, had a grueling few months stepping into the Octagon three times in as many months. The newly named “Thundercat” went up against UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis, Jeremy Stephens, and Poland’s Marcin Held.

Joining Myles now though within the ranks of the PFL will be none other than the controversial YouTuber, Jake Paul. Jake is now making the transition from boxing, where he has 6 wins 6, into the world of MMA. The undefeated boxer does hold wins over the likes of UFC great Anderson Silva in the boxing ring, but if he can make the transition remains to be seen.
A reported multi-fight deal has been inked with the outfit, which also includes the title of “head of fighter advocacy”. A new division will be created in the process, termed the “Super-fight league”. The purpose of the league seems to be about creating spectacle as opposed to winning any sort of Championship, hoping to attract top calibre opponents by allowing fighters to earn at least 50 percent of the pay-per-view revenue. Ultimately giving the athletes a bigger slice of the pie than the UFC allows.

The Paul brothers look deadset on combining the world of entertainment with athleticism. Jake’s brother Logan, has recently signed with the professional wrestling outfit WWE and received plaudits for his work. Can Jake recreate that same success in the very real world of Mixed Martial Arts? It remains to be seen.
