Dean Mason named in 2023 Electric Ireland GAA Higher Education Rising Stars Hurling Team of the Year

It has been some campaign for the Shamrock shot-stopper Dean Mason.

Another county title, another Leinster crown, another All-Ireland victory, all topped off with another Fitzgibbon Cup.

Many credit his stunning double save in the semi-final against SETU Waterford as a tournament turning point. Mason along with fellow Cats Daragh Corcoran, Shane Staunton, and Ian Byrne all helped University Limerick to secure the title for the eighth time in the Munster Universities’ history.
