The details for this weekend’s Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Carlow Senior Football Championship quarter-finals have been confirmed.
There will be a doubleheader in Netwatch Cullen Park on Sunday afternoon.
At 3 o’clock, Bagenalstown Gaels will take on Old Leighlin before Eire Og and Mount Leinster Rangers go head-to-head at half past 4. Tinryland has advanced straight to a semi-final following their victory over Fenagh on Saturday.
Speaking to KCLR after that game, Tinryland’s Shane Redmond stressed the importance of the entire panel ahead of the knockout stages.
“When you’re out there and you know that there’s that firepower to come off the bench. It’s brilliant energy at a stage when teams are starting to tire and start to open up.”
“It gives you so much confidence. It comes from a number of factors, lads coming through the system and we were in the county final last year, gives
that kind of impetus and that carrot for lads to commit to it.”
We’ll have live commentary of both games on KCLR with thanks to Dan Morrissey and Co.
