Carlow community games are hosting the Leinster community games team games semi finals and finals this Saturday July 2nd in Carlow town.
Teams from counties all over Leinster will descend on the town hoping to be crowned Leinster champions and go forward to represent the Provence in the national Finals in Athlone in August.
27 Carlow teams and 5 Kilkenny teams are taking part in semi finals in everything from chess to camogie and skittles.
Carlow IT will be the venue for many events with draughts, chess, u16 basketball, tag rugby, futsal, soccer and table tennis on campus.
U13 basketball will be in St Leo’s with u11 in St Fiaccs. Indoor soccer will be held in the Presentation while Eire Og hosts the Gaelic football.
Hurling and Camogie will be in the hurling club with Skittles being thrown in Bishop Foley school. Mini Rugby is at the rugby club with badminton in the tennis club. Spike ball is being held in st Fiaccs Graiguecullen while Graiguecullen Gaa will welcome rounders teams.
Best of luck to Carlow and Kilkenny teams taking part and for anyone interested in sport or community games €5 for adults will give you access to as many venues and events as you can squeeze in Saturday with children going free.
