The Willie Mullins trained Douvan is almost certain to make his season debut in Cork Racecourse in Mallow on Sunday.
The twice Cheltenham Festival features amongst the entries for the Hilly Way Chase on Sunday, and speaking exclusively to KCLR, Sales and Marketing manager of Mallow Racecourse Mary Kelly says that having a horse like Douvan there has tripled the excitement.
“Absolutely, I mean he is an outstanding Novice Chaser and we are really really excited here about this. I mean The Kerry Group Hilly Way Chase day is a big day for us. We were very unfortunate in 2015 with flooding. We lost the date twice and of course the Hilly Way went up to Navan which we never like giving it away so and the Kerry Group are a brilliant sponsor here in Mallow and have been for a long long time, and having a horse like Douvan in the entries just trebles that excitement really for us all here”
