Ballyhale Shamrocks Senior Hurling Manager Henry Shefflin says that their All-Ireland Club Final opponents St. Thomas of Galway are a serious outfit with serious hurlers.
Speaking after Saturday’s All-Ireland Club Semi-Final victory over Ballygunner, Henry says that having extra-time to prepare for the Final on St. Patricks Day will give both teams extra-time to plan ahead.
Henry told KCLR “The thing about this campaign is that we are not playing till the 17th of March so both teams will have plenty of time (to prepare).
“That is the challenge, when I was playing myself, we were playing the 22nd February which is two or three weeks out. It’s a long lead in time again for five weeks however we will plot and plan, they’re a serious oufit, serious hurlers and we know it will be a big challenge for ourselves” he said.
