Kilkenny’s senior camogie side play their fourth and final group match in the Liberty Insurance Senior Camogie Championship this Sunday in Nowlan Park.

Throw-in against Galway is set for 2.30pm.

Kilkenny have a one hundred percent record to date, with Galway nipping at their heels. However, with a superior seven-point scoring difference, a draw would be enough to see Kilkenny over the line and into next month’s All-Ireland Senior Camogie Semi-final.

Should the Kittens lose to Galway, all is not lost as they will drop into the quarter-final stages next month.

This time last year, Kilkenny made the trip to Galway, coming away with the win on away soil. Kilkenny also got the better of Galway in the league semi-final this year, going on to claim yet another senior league title.

Both sides will take some comfort in knowing they’re already through to the All-Ireland quarter-final stages, with the winner on the day leap-frogging into the semi-finals.

Quarter-final fixtures will be played over the August bank holiday weekend at Pairc Ui Caoimh, Cork as a double-header, with semi-final fixtures booked for Semple Stadium, Thurles, on 18 August.
