There’s no change at the top for Kilkenny Camogie in 2019.

At a special meeting of the county board on Tuesday evening, delegates ratified the appointments of the senior and intermediate managers for next year.

All-Ireland winning player and manager Ann Downey had hinted she’d be back in the wake of this year’s defeat, and true to her word, she’ll helm the senior team for 2019.

Having secured the county’s first senior All-Ireland title in 2016 for over 20 years, Downey guided the senior ladies to successive finals in 2017 and 2018. In both instances Kilkenny lost out by a single point to Cork.

Tullaroan’s Aine Fahey will once more take charge of the intermediate side.

Fahey was captain of the All-Ireland-winning intermediate side in 2016 before departing the inter-county setup.

She lead the team in 2018 and will return to the role for 2019.
