Clara defender David Langton says that their victory over Ballyhale Shamrocks on Friday evening had a Championship feel having lost their opening game to Danesfort.

They got the better of the South Kilkenny men on a scoreline of 2-16 to 0-17.

Speaking to KCLR after Friday nights game, David says it’s important to build on Friday nights victory…..

“Yeah, to be honest after you lose the first game, it turns every game after that into a Championship game because everyone wants to finish in the top two and avoid that first round so you struggle to finish in the top two if you have lost two games so that made tonight into a Championship game and it’s great to have that Championship feel this early in the year.

“Off the top of my head, I think the six forwards scored so it’s great to get that spread up in the forwards and overall it was a great team performance and everyone pulled together”

“It’s just start of the year so we have to try and just push on from here”

“I think we have Bennettsbridge now next in two weeks so it’s important we go and build from this”
