Ballyhale Shamrocks Under-21 Hurling manager Tom Coogan says that James Stephens proved themselves to be an outstanding team in defeating a fancied Dicksboro Team in the Northern Under-21 Final.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s Under-21 County Final, Tom says they are familiar with Sunday’s opponents from having played them in last years County Minor Final…..

“The lads beat the Village in a brilliant game actually in Nowlan Park, It was a very very good game”

“Both teams acquitted themselves very very well and we have guys carried over obviously”

“They have guys carried over from that as well so yeah look the lads, they kind of know each other through various different grades up along so players know each other and know the ins and outs of each other probably through colleges and what not”

“They are playing together with counties and stuff like that so yes, they are an outstanding team too as well. Beat a really good Boro team, a real fancied Boro team as well so look, we are under no illusions, every step you go it’s going to get better, it’s going to get harder and faster and you just have to step up as best you can”
