Ballyhale Shamrocks manager Henry Shefflin says he wants to let his side enjoy their county championship win after the tough year they’ve had.

They got the better of James Stephens on Sunday in the decider and are out this weekend in the Leinster Quarter Finals against Clonkill of Westmeath on Sunday.

Henry told KCLR that they’re taking the Leinster championship as serious as ever but he wants the team to celebrate their achievement as well.

He said “We needed to go after the Leinster Championship and we challenged that last year, I think this year is a little bit different because, they’ve had the tragedy, they’ve had an awful time, it’s been a dark place in Ballyhale”.

“There’s a bit of lightness, and the lads are able to relax a little bit, and I just think they should go off and enjoy it even more than they did last year, they need to enjoy it, what they’ve been through had been very very difficult”.
