It wasn’t to be for the Old Leighlin Ladies in the Leinster Intermediate Football final last night.

They were beaten 1-10 to 0-08 in the decider last night by Wicklow side Tinahely.

Rachel Sawyer hit six points for the local side with Aoibhinn Gilmartin and Emma Brennan got a point apiece.

Tinahely’s Laura Hogan bagged seven points with Lucy Mulhall getting 1-4.

Ciara Byrne and Sarah Byrne also scored a point each for the Wicklow side.
