Tullow Rugby Club player Aho Bloomfield says their performance in the Towns Cup Semi-Final victory over Wicklow will count for nothing unless they do the business in the Final.

New Zealand born Aho has played a key role on their path to the final and speaking to KCLR, Aho says that since his arrival in Ireland, there has been a great community spirit around the town and for the big matches.

“Hugely proud of the boys when you know you get to another final, but as I said to them we might as well go on and win it otherwise it will count for nothing.

“We have a lot to work on and the boys are happy, we will enjoy ourselves, but next week it will be the same again from Tullow.

“I came here and I enjoyed the crowd and the intensity and it’s easy to distinguish because whenever the Towns Cup comes around, everyone comes out to the Towns Cup. Y

“When it’s Towns Cup time everyone comes out and that just gives us a huge lift, a real sense of community coming out to watch our games,” he said.
