Kilkenny Football trainer JJ Grace says that competing in the British Junior Championship is good in keeping to raise the profile of Gaelic Football in Kilkenny.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of their match in Scotland in Sunday’s British Junior Quarter-Final, JJ that football in Kilkenny is moving in the right direction.

“We have a panel of 30 or 32 players and in my opinion, every one of them are well able to play football”

“They are a good bunch of lads, they are training hard”

“We have to compete with club as well so in terms of county, in terms of set-up, we have to work with what we have, but I think we are moving in the right direction and if we get over the match on Sunday please God we are back in semi-final again, so it’s all good for Kilkenny Football in keeping the profile and raising the profile of Kilkenny Football”
