St Patricks Ballyragget selector David Buggy has hit out at the way the fixtures have fallen for club Hurlers.
Ballyragget beat Carrickshock comfortably over the weekend in the opening round of games.
Speaking to KCLR afterwards, Buggy says that the Club Player has to be prioritised.
“To tell you the truth I’m disgusted with the whole thing.
“The club scene is an absolute disaster. We hurled tonight and we might not hurl again for four months and that’s not fair on anyone.
“The GAA is based on clubs and if we don’t have clubs then we dont have county.
“If the GAA doesn’t look at it quickly then the whole thing is going down a bad bad road.
“Club Hurling has to get priority again,” he said.
