Thomastown Ladies Senior Footballer Niamh Sheehy says that Camogie is having a detrimental impact on Ladies Football within the County.

Speaking to KCLR at last week’s Ladies Football Launch, Niamh says that the Camogie and Ladies Football should start working together.

She said “The opportunities are still there in the football, it’s not just as recognised and then it’s faltering at our county levels that we can’t field teams, or they are too young coming up against these strong teams so I think it is having an impact, but it would be great if the Camogie could start working more with us and even train with us every once in a while, with the football and or with the hurling, I think it would help both sides”.
