Carlow Athlete Marcus Lawler says it is a real honour to be nominated for Irish Senior Track and Field Athlete of the Year along with World Class Athletes.
Speaking to KCLR, Marcus says his nomination indicates the continued progression he is making.
He said “It’s to keep progressing up the ranks and actually be nominated for Senior Track and Field Athlete of the Year”.
“It’s a real honour especially kind of I suppose with the nominees that are alongside me. I mean Ciara Mageean was unbelievable out in Doha and Tomas Barr is World Class and then Mark English is World Class as well and be alongside those names, it’s really good”.
