Kildare 6-18
Carlow 1-07
Carlow are out of the Leinster Minor Football Championship after a heavy defeat to Kildare on Saturday afternoon in Newbridge.
The visitors travelled to Newbridge high in confidence following an opening round victory at home to Wicklow two weeks ago. However, there was to be no repeat of that performance or result as Kildare ran riot in St. Conleths Park.
Kildare took control of the game right from the off and never let up as they deservedly progressed to a semi-final clash with Dublin.
The defeat sees Carlow’s 2021 campaign come to a bitterly disappointing end after a championship that saw them put in two back-to-back performances that were in complete contrast to each other.
