Teams that are capable of playing their games on a Friday or Saturday night will play at those times as much as possible during this seasons Carlow & District Soccer League.
Brian O’Reilly, the secretary of the league, revealed to KCLR’s Shane O’Keeffe yesterday that the league had passed new rules at their AGM to make this possible for any team that have the facilities:
“At our AGM we passed a new rule that said any club that had lights and the facility to play at night time could now pick a Friday night at 8 o clock or a Saturday night at 7.30pm, that means that they have Sunday off and spend Sunday as family time and they also get to play their premier league games”.
