With the preliminary rounds in the rear-view mirror and the lineups for this year’s revamped Carlow football leagues determined, it’s on to the first round of club action this coming St. Patrick’s weekend.

There are four games in Division 1 on S. Patrick’s Day, all with a 7.30pm start.
- St. Patrick’s v Fenagh (Br. Leo Park)
- Éire Óg v Palatine (Pairc Ui Bhriain)
- Rathvilly v Bagenalstown Gaels (Fr. Ryan Park)
- Old Leighlin v Tinryland (Old Leighlin)
On Saturday, Division 2 takes over with four games, Railyard on a bye weekend. These games all throw in at 5pm.
- Clonmore v Kildavin/Clonegal (Clonmore)
- Mount Leinster Rangers v Grange (Mount Leinster Rangers)
- Kilbride v Ballinabranna (Kilbride GFC)
- Éire Óg v Noamh Eoin (Pairc Uí Bhriain)
- Railyard v BYE
Sunday wraps up the first round of league action with the opening fixtures for Division 3 and Division 4.
In Division 3, we’ll see
- Tinryland v Leighlinbridge (Tinryland)
- Fighting Cocks v Rathvilly (Fighting Cocks)
- Ballon v Old Leighlin (Ballon)
- Palatine v O’Hanrahan’s (Palatine)
with all games throwing in at 5pm.
In Division 4, there’s a bye weekend for Askea with three other games to be played out, all from 5pm. Those are
- Ballinabranna v Kildavivin Clonegal (Ballinabranna)
- Fenagh v Bagenalstown Gaels (JJ Hogan Memorial Park)
- Éire Óg v Clonmore (Pairc Uí Bhríain)
