Former Carlow and Eire Og Senior Football Goalkeeper John Kearns says that Carlow have the capabilities to maintain their promotion hopes alive in today’s (Sunday) National League clash against Antrim in Glenavy.
Speaking to KCLR, John says they are capable of winning as it’s the same group of players who achieved promotion two years ago when they defeated Antrim to secure their place up to Division 3.
He said “This is the pretty much the same kind of core of players that they had that got promotion two years ago, they are all pretty much still there with a couple of new additions coming in there as well”.
“If you ask any of the players who were there last year, they are all delighted that Turlough was asked to stay on board again so they are all obviously happy to play the system that Turlough want’s them to play, it won’t be easy but if they can get a win up there, I think it can really can change the rest of the season for them as regards the League anyway”.
